How to manage multiple Mailcamp accounts

If you manage more than one brand, client, or business unit in Mailcamp, choose the setup that keeps data, billing, permissions, and sending reputation clear. In Mailcamp, the main way to organize access inside one account is through Teams. If you need completely separate billing or data ownership, use separate Mailcamp accounts.

When to use one account with teams

  • Use one account when the work belongs to the same company or billing owner.

  • Create teams when you want to group users by brand, department, or client workflow.

  • Use permissions to control which Mailcamp features each team member can access.

  • Keep shared account settings, billing, and subscription management under the same owner.

When to use separate accounts

  • Use separate accounts when each brand or client needs its own billing and subscription.

  • Use separate accounts when contact lists, campaigns, templates, and sending assets must stay fully separated.

  • Use separate accounts when each business has a different account owner or legal data responsibility.

  • Use separate accounts if you do not want users from one business to share the same workspace.

Mailcamp does not use a shared Switch account menu in the current app flow. If you manage separate accounts, sign in with the login credentials for the account you need to access.

Create a team for another brand or client

  • In Mailcamp, open Teams.

  • Click Create team.

  • Enter a clear team name, such as the brand, department, or client name.

  • Click Save.

  • Open the new team from the team list.

  • Click Add Member to invite users to that team.

Invite users to the right team

  • Open Teams and select the team.

  • Click Add Member or Create team member.

  • Enter one or more email addresses.

  • Select the permissions those users should have.

  • Click Save and next.

Mailcamp sends each user an invitation email. The user must activate the invitation before they can access the account.

Manage access across teams

  • Use the team member list to see each user's invitation status.

  • Use Edit to update a user's permissions.

  • Use Deactivate if a user should temporarily lose access.

  • Use Delete if a user should be removed from the team.

  • If an invitation expires, use Resend activation email.

Work with separate Mailcamp accounts

  • Log out of the current Mailcamp account before signing in to another account.

  • Use the correct email address and password for the account you want to manage.

  • Use separate browser profiles if you need to stay signed in to multiple accounts during the same workday.

  • Keep account credentials and 2FA access organized so you do not lose access to client or brand accounts.

Best practices

  • Name teams and accounts clearly so users know which workspace they are working in.

  • Give users only the permissions they need.

  • Review team members regularly and remove access for users who no longer need it.

  • Keep billing and ownership decisions separate from day-to-day campaign collaboration.
