In Mailcamp, the reply-to email address is the address that receives replies when a contact clicks reply in their inbox. You can change it during campaign setup so responses go to the right inbox for that specific send.
Where to change the reply-to address
- Open the campaign you want to edit.
- Go to the Setup step.
- Find the Reply-to field in the sender settings area.
How to update it
- Enter the reply-to email address you want to use for that campaign.
- Save the campaign setup after making the change.
- Continue to the content, schedule, and confirm steps as usual.
How Mailcamp behaves by default
- If the reply-to field is left empty, Mailcamp falls back to the campaign's default sender email.
- In the setup form, changing the From email can also autofill the reply-to value to match it.
- This helps keep sender details consistent unless you specifically want replies to go somewhere else.
When to use a different reply-to address
- When you want replies to go to a support inbox instead of the sending address.
- When a campaign belongs to a different team, such as sales, support, or success.
- When you want to separate sending identity from reply handling.
Things to keep in mind
- Use an inbox that is monitored if you expect contacts to reply.
- Make sure the reply-to address is correct before sending the campaign.
- Keep sender details consistent with your brand and campaign purpose.
Helpful tip
If you are not sure whether to change it, leave reply-to aligned with the from address. Change it only when you have a clear reason for replies to go to another inbox.
