Mailcamp records where campaign opens come from and shows the data in the campaign report. You can review it as a country summary, a map, or a detailed open log with recipient, IP address, area, and timestamp.
Open tracking must be enabled on the campaign, and the campaign must already have open activity. Location is estimated from the IP address captured when the email is opened, so some entries may appear as Unknown or reflect the recipient's email provider instead of the recipient's physical location.
In Mailcamp, go to Campaigns.
Open the sent campaign you want to review.
Go to the campaign report or Overview page.
Find the Top country by opens section.
This section shows the countries with the most unique opens. Mailcamp displays the top countries in a chart and a country list, with the number of opens for each country.
From the campaign report, click the Open map tab.
Review the markers on the world map.
Click a marker to see the open details.
Each map marker can show the IP address, recipient email, opened time, and area detected for that open. This is useful when you want to quickly see where opens are distributed geographically.
From the same campaign report, open Sending logs.
Select Open log.
Use search or sorting if you need to find a specific recipient or open event.
The open log table includes the recipient, IP address, campaign, sending server, area, and created time. If you need offline analysis, click Download open log to export the data.
Mailcamp estimates location from the IP address available during the open event. Accuracy can vary because some email clients load tracking images through proxy servers or privacy services.
Gmail may load images through Google's servers, so the location can reflect Google's infrastructure.
Apple Mail Privacy Protection can preload emails and mask location data.
Corporate networks, VPNs, and security gateways can show the gateway location instead of the recipient location.
Use open location data as a directional report for audience distribution, not as an exact physical address for each recipient.
