How To Deliver Emails By Time Zone

Mailcamp lets you schedule campaigns using your account timezone. It does not appear to expose a built-in "send by each recipient's local timezone" switch in the standard campaign workflow. If you want timezone-based delivery, the practical approach is to organize contacts by timezone and schedule separate sends for each group.

How Mailcamp scheduling works

  • In the campaign Schedule step, Mailcamp lets you choose a date and time.
  • That scheduled time uses your account timezone.
  • If your sending quota is reached, Mailcamp can pause the campaign and resume it in the next window based on your account timezone as well.

Recommended workaround for timezone-based sending

  • Store timezone, region, or location information on your contacts if you have it.
  • Create segments for each timezone or region you want to target separately.
  • Duplicate the campaign or create separate campaigns for those segments.
  • Schedule each campaign at the right time for that audience group based on your account timezone conversion.

Example workflow

  • Create one segment for contacts in North America.
  • Create another segment for contacts in Europe.
  • Schedule one campaign for the North America segment.
  • Schedule the other campaign for the Europe segment at the equivalent local send time you want.

Best practice

  • Use custom fields or contact data that helps you group recipients by location or timezone.
  • Test the schedule carefully so you do not accidentally send at the wrong local hour.
  • Start with your largest audience regions first if you only need a few major send windows.

When this is enough

  • If you only serve a few major regions, segmented scheduling is usually simple and effective.
  • If you need exact recipient-local delivery for many timezones, you will need a more structured segmentation workflow rather than one universal send time.

The key idea is simple: Mailcamp scheduling is account-timezone based, so timezone delivery is best handled by segmenting contacts and scheduling each send window intentionally.
