In Mailcamp, you can create a campaign, choose who will receive it, prepare the email content, and either schedule it for later or send it immediately. The campaign flow is built as a step-by-step wizard, so you can review everything before the campaign goes out.
Before you start
- Make sure the audience you want to send to already exists in Mailcamp.
- If you plan to send from a branded address, make sure your sender identity is already verified.
- Prepare your subject line, sender name, and email content before scheduling.
Step 1: Create a new campaign
- Log in to Mailcamp.
- Open Campaigns.
- Click Create campaign.
- Select the campaign type you want to use. For most newsletter sends, choose the regular campaign option.
Step 2: Choose recipients
- Select the audience you want to send to.
- If needed, narrow the send using one or more segments.
- Save your recipient selection and continue to the next step.
Step 3: Set up the campaign
- Enter an internal campaign name so you can recognize it later.
- Add your Email subject.
- Set the From name.
- Choose the From email and Reply-to address from your verified senders.
- Review the setup details, then continue.
Step 4: Design your email
- Choose a template or builder option for the campaign.
- Add your content, branding, and call to action.
- Preview the email and make sure everything looks correct.
Step 5: Review the campaign
- Check the recipients, subject line, sender details, and email content.
- Use preview options if you want to review the message before sending.
- When everything looks correct, continue to the delivery step.
Step 6: Schedule or send now
- Open the scheduling step.
- If campaign scheduling is available on your plan, choose the delivery date and delivery time.
- If you want to send immediately, use Send now.
- If you schedule the campaign, save the date and time, then continue to confirm.
Step 7: Confirm the campaign
- Review the final campaign summary.
- Confirm the scheduled time or immediate send option.
- Finish the process to queue or launch the campaign.
Tips for smoother scheduling
- Double-check your audience and segment selection before confirming.
- Preview the email carefully to avoid formatting issues.
- If your plan does not support scheduling, you can still prepare the campaign and use Send now.
Once confirmed, your campaign will either be sent immediately or wait until the scheduled delivery time you selected.
