Mailcamp's drag & drop editor helps you build a campaign visually without writing HTML. You can choose a template, drop content blocks into the layout, edit each block, add a preheader, and then continue to the schedule and send steps.
Before you open the editor
- Create a campaign and complete the earlier setup steps first, including recipients and campaign settings.
- Open the campaign's content step.
- Choose a template that supports the visual builder.
Step 1: Open the campaign content step
- Go to Campaigns.
- Open the campaign you want to work on.
- Continue to the Content step.
- If needed, click Change template to pick a different template first.
Step 2: Open the drag & drop editor
- On the content screen, click the visual email builder option.
- If your account shows more than one builder option, choose the drag & drop email builder rather than the classic editor.
- Mailcamp opens the builder in the editor view so you can start designing the message.
Step 3: Build the layout with blocks
- Drag content blocks into the email layout.
- Add the sections you need, such as text, images, buttons, spacers, dividers, or multi-column layouts.
- Arrange the blocks in the order you want readers to see them.
Step 4: Edit each content block
- Click a block to edit its content and styling.
- Replace placeholder text with your real campaign copy.
- Upload or select images where needed.
- Update buttons, links, colors, spacing, and alignment so the email matches your brand.
Step 5: Add supporting campaign content
- Return to the content page if you need to review the template summary.
- Add or update the preheader so inbox previews show better supporting text.
- If available in your setup, check the spam score before moving on.
Step 6: Review and save your work
- Preview the email and make sure the layout looks clean.
- Check links, text, images, and spacing before you leave the editor.
- Save your changes so Mailcamp stores the updated campaign content.
Step 7: Continue to schedule and send
- After the content looks correct, click Save and Next.
- Choose whether to send immediately or schedule the campaign for later.
- Review the final confirmation screen before sending.
Helpful tips
- Keep one main goal per email so the layout stays focused.
- Use clear headings, short paragraphs, and one primary call to action.
- Preview carefully on desktop and mobile before sending to your audience.
- If you prefer a more manual editing experience, Mailcamp may also offer the classic editor depending on your account settings.
If you are building a standard HTML campaign in Mailcamp, the drag & drop editor is usually the easiest place to create a polished email quickly.
