Mailcamp does not appear to use a separate "forward to a friend" feature in the campaign builder. The closest supported option inside campaign content is to add an Email web view link, which lets recipients open the campaign in a browser and makes it easier for them to share or forward the message.
What to use in Mailcamp
- Use the {WEB_VIEW_URL} tag in your campaign content.
- When the email is sent, Mailcamp replaces that tag with the campaign's web-view link.
- Recipients can click that link to open the email in a browser.
Step 1: Open your campaign content
- Go to Campaigns.
- Open the campaign you want to edit.
- Continue to the Content step.
Step 2: Open the editor
- Use the available email editor for the campaign, such as the visual builder or the classic editor.
- Go to the part of the email where you want to add the link, usually near the top or in the footer.
Step 3: Insert the web-view link
- Add a text link or button that points to {WEB_VIEW_URL}.
- A common example is wording like View this email in your browser.
- If you are using the classic editor, Mailcamp provides a web-view link option you can insert directly from the editor tools.
Step 4: Save and review
- Save the content after adding the link.
- Preview the campaign and make sure the placement looks correct.
- Send a test email if you want to confirm the surrounding layout before sending the full campaign.
When this is useful
- When recipients want to open the campaign outside their inbox.
- When you want a browser-based version that is easier to share.
- When you want to place a clean fallback link near the top of the email.
Important note
- This is a web-view link, not a dedicated forward-to-a-friend workflow.
- If your goal is simple sharing or browser access, the web-view link is the supported option available in Mailcamp.
If you also need compliance links in the same email, make sure your campaign still includes the unsubscribe link required by your setup.
