To edit a contact in Mailcamp, open the correct audience, find the contact, and update the profile fields you want to change. Mailcamp lets you edit both the basic contact information and any custom fields that exist in that audience.
Step 1: Open the contact
- Open the audience that contains the contact.
- Go to the contacts list.
- Search for the contact you want to update.
- Open the contact profile or edit screen.
Step 2: Edit the contact details
- Update the basic information you want to change.
- You can also edit custom fields that belong to that audience.
- Depending on your field setup, Mailcamp may show text, number, dropdown, multiselect, checkbox, radio, date, datetime, or textarea fields.
Step 3: Review tags and profile details
- In the contact profile, you can also review tags and related profile information.
- If needed, update the contact's tags using the profile actions.
- You can also manage the contact avatar or profile image from the edit view.
Step 4: Save your changes
- Click Save after updating the fields.
- Mailcamp stores the changes in that audience record.
Good to know
- The available fields depend on the audience field setup.
- If a field does not exist yet, create it first in audience field management before expecting it to appear in the contact edit form.
- Editing a contact record is different from importing updates in bulk from CSV.
If you only need to change one or two contacts, editing them directly in the contact profile is usually the fastest option. If you need to update many records at once, a CSV import workflow is usually more efficient.
